Dr. Rick Shinto is currently the CEO & President at InnovaCare Health Solutions. Richard, best known as Rick, has authored several articles on the health industry. Mr. Shinto is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in the health sector. Rick began his medical career as a pulmonologist in Southern California. He had earned a degree in medicine from the University of New York and had received an M.B.A. from the University of Redlands.

Before taking the reins at InnovaCare, Dr. Shinto had served in previous leadership roles within the healthcare management industry. He was the Chief Medical Officer at NAMM California before moving on to work in the same capacity at Medical Pathways company. A few years later he went on to work at Aveta Incorporated as the Chief Executive Officer. It was while at Aveta that he received an award for entrepreneur of the year from Ernst & Young.

In 2012, after Aveta was sold to investors, Dr. Shinto was offered a CEO position at InnovaCare Health Solutions. Once he was on board, it didn’t take too long for a force of change to be felt through the company. He used his years of expertise in the healthcare management industry to steer the company into new levels of success.

Rick Shinto has been responsible for providing a clear vision as to where the company needs to grow. This has proved to be useful as the company is now seeking to expand to international markets. This is a phenomenal fete if you consider that InnovaCare health already has 230,000 member patients who are serviced by 73,000 providers in Puerto Rico alone.
